Dear Parent/Carer

Year 7 Parents’ Evening - Online Appointment Booking

I would like to invite you to attend our Tutor / Parents’ Evening on Wednesday, 21 October, 3:30pm to 6:00pm via video call, to discuss with your child’s tutor how they have settled into secondary education at Brighton Hill Community School.  The appointment will be limited to five minutes; this is essential to ensure that all parents’ appointments are honoured.  Should you wish to have a longer discussion, a further appointment on another day can be made with the member of staff concerned.

In addition, Mr Du-heaume will be sending out a pre-recorded presentation to help you to understand your child’s baseline progress tracker that will be issued shortly, for you to watch prior to the tutor evening and follow-up with your child’s tutor should you wish. If you would like to understand more about the progress model at Brighton Hill Community School, please visit our website, click on ‘Supporting your Child’ on the main page and then click through to ‘Progress Trackers’.

The school has an online appointment booking system. This allows you to choose your own appointment time with your child’s tutor and you will receive an e-mail confirming your appointment.  Appointments can be made from Monday 12 October and will close at 12pm on Tuesday 20 October.

Please visit http://bhcs.parentseveningsystem.co.uk to book your appointment.  Login is completed with the following information:

Student’s Legal First Name

Student’s Legal Surname

Student’s Date of Birth

If you have any problems with booking your appointment, please contact Mr Du-heaume who will be happy to add appointments on your behalf.  The help sheets attached to this letter will provide you with further guidance on booking an appointment and holding a video call through our Parents’ Evening online system. If you do not have the technology at home to support video calls, at the point of booking your appointment, please leave a message for the teacher requesting a telephone call instead.

Remember to follow us on Twitter @BrightonHillSch or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BrightonHillSchool/ for news and updates.

Yours sincerely

Mr Dan Du-heaume
Head of Year 7 and Transition Learning Manager
