Dear Parent / Guardian

I am writing to make you aware of some recent changes regarding the legislation surrounding schools and the administering of Epi-Pens.

Currently we hold some central Epi-Pens within the school’s Welfare Office in case of emergency.  However, from September we are no longer able to do this.

With this in mind, I would ask you please to ensure that if your child requires an Epi-Pen, he/she must carry an in date one with them at all times.  If a student participates in an off-site visit or activity with school, he/she must have two Epi-Pens and they must both be in date.

If you wish for us to keep a spare Epi-Pen, please contact us and we will be able to do this, with your authorisation.

Should you need to discuss any of this with us, or update your child’s medical records, please do not hesitate to contact either Mrs Mallin (Education Welfare Assistant) or me at the school.

Yours sincerely
