Ofsted Report

I am delighted to share with you the Ofsted report from our recent inspection on May 3rd & 4th.  As you will read, we have been rated as a "GOOD" school by Ofsted, for the first time in many years.  This is incredibly positive news for Brighton Hill Community School and reflects the enormous amount of effort which has gone into transforming our school in recent times.

I must thank our wonderful students, who, as usual, were an absolute credit to their school over the two days, something which is a strong thread throughout the report.  Also, a big thank you to parents/carers, not only for your support over the two days, with your enormously positive feedback on ParentView, but also for putting your trust in us as a school to deliver the very best for your children; we hope that this report reaffirms your decision to choose Brighton Hill Community School for your child.

I must also thank my wonderful staff team.  There have been turbulent times in the relatively recent past, but due to the expert leadership of Miss Halsey, with the support of interim, head, Paul Nicholson, the school has been able to remain in a strong position even through the most challenging of circumstances, due to the relentless commitment of the whole staff team, ably supported by our exceptional team of Governors.

I hope that you enjoy reading this report which I believe is a wonderful testament to how special Brighton Hill Community School is.

Thanks for being part of the #YellowArmy

Chris Edwards
